Derived from the Thai words plearn ('enjoy') and wan ('yesteryear'), PlearnWan resembles the kind of small commercial district you would have found in the kingdom several decades ago, before the growth in modern-style malls, providing visitors with a fascinating retro shopping experience. As I walked through the unique wooden entrance, which resembles a wormhole, I cerrtainly got the feeling I was about to step back in time.
Located in Prachuap -Khiri Khan province's Hua Hin district, PlearnWan seems to include just about every imaginable kind of store you might wish to visit, including boutiques selling clothes, a beauty salon, food stalls, a massage center, a jewelry outlet, as well as record stores and restaurants. The sentimental setting is sure to stir up memories of yesteryear.
